Healing that goes deeper than talking about what happened.

Trauma, anxiety, depression, or loss can leave you stuck. You might feel overwhelmed and disconnected from the life you want, caught in patterns you didn’t choose and can’t seem to break. Or maybe it’s your child who’s struggling, and you aren’t sure how to help. You’ve tried to move on, but the past keeps showing up in the present.

You aren’t defined by what happened to you, and you don’t have to stay stuck.

I understand how exhausting it is to keep carrying this. Reaching out takes courage, especially when you’ve already tried so hard on your own. You deserve a safe place where you’re heard without judgment and supported at your pace.

You can trust that you’re in experienced hands. I’ve spent more than a decade helping children, adults, and families heal from trauma. That includes conducting trauma assessments for children in foster care and supporting foster and adoptive families across Michigan. I earned my Master of Social Work at the University of Michigan as a Child Welfare Scholar. I’m also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, trained in EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused CBT, and certified as an ADHD Clinical Services Provider. Everything I’ve learned is there to help you heal.

Healing that works with your brain, not just your words. Talking about the past isn’t always enough, and sometimes it keeps you circling the same pain. EMDR, DBT, and solution-focused approaches help you process what happened, calm your nervous system, and build practical skills you can use every day.

Your child can find their voice, too. Kids don’t always have the words for what they’re feeling. Play therapy and creative, age-appropriate tools give your child a safe way to express what’s going on inside and learn healthy ways to cope. Whether your child is facing ADHD, autism, attachment struggles, or the lasting effects of trauma, they’ll get support built for the way they think and grow. You’ll also get guidance as a parent to keep that progress going at home.

Your faith can be part of your healing. If you’d like a Christian perspective, prayer, Scripture, and biblical principles can be woven into your counseling whenever you request it. Your faith and your personal relationship with God will always be honored.

Your path forward:

1. Schedule your first session. Meet in person in Ann Arbor or by telehealth from home.
2. Create your plan. Together we’ll choose the approach that fits your story and your goals.
3. Start moving forward. Process the past, build new skills, and begin seeing real, lasting change.

Imagine feeling calm in your own skin, close to the people you love, and free to live the life you choose instead of the one your past handed you. The next step can be a small one, and you don’t have to take it alone.
