(In Person and Telehealth)
Hi, My name is Abi. Thanks for visiting this page. I know you’ve been curious about whether therapy is right for you (or maybe you’re looking for a new therapist). The good news is you
don’t have to have it all figured out. I would love the opportunity to meet you, to hear about the concerns you have for yourself, and assist you in your journey to wellness.
I’m a Michigander born and raised and am proud to be a Graduate from Detroit’s Wayne State University where I received my Masters in Counseling and have since become a state licensed clinician. I’ve
provided mental health services in various settings, including acute mental health treatments at Trinity Health Hospital, academic settings, and non-profit substance and addiction services. My path into this work is deeply personal. I became a therapist because I understand firsthand how powerful it is to have genuine, unconditional support. I am a mother, a wife, and a life-long learner of many things.
Therapy should feel like a safe and collaborative space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment, pressure, or expectation. My approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through both insight and practical tools. My approach is Person-Centered (you set the pace) and Humanistic (you are inherently capable of healing and self-actualization). This means the trajectory of your counseling journey will depend significantly on your input. I believe you have the answers within and it’s my job as the clinician to facilitate an experience conducive to self-discovery, healing, and growth. Other aspects of my therapeutic approach are derived from Existentialism, which means your unique life experiences
are the foundation for the development of your beliefs and attitudes toward the world.
It would be an honor to hear your story and a privilege to provide a therapeutic experience which has been shaped by my clinical experiences as a clinician. Your sessions will be thoughtfully
tailored to meet your needs, drawing from evidence-based practices while also honoring your personal values, culture, and lived experiences.
